1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using DocTrack (the App), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. App Purpose
DocTrack is a personal document and travel management tool. It helps you track document expiry dates, monitor travel patterns, and stay aware of compliance thresholds. It is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.
3. Your Data Stays With You
We do not collect any of your data. We operate no account system and no backend that stores your information. Everything you enter — profiles, documents, travel records, expenses, photos, and settings — is stored on your device using Apple's on-device SwiftData framework. The one exception is your choice: if you turn on automatic backup to a folder in iCloud Drive, an encrypted copy of your backup is stored there by Apple, and only you hold the key that opens it. We have no analytics, advertising identifiers, or telemetry, and we never receive your information.
DocTrack never sends anything on its own, and it never uploads anything about you. Nothing touches the network unless YOU tap a specific button.
The only network actions are downloads of public reference data, and each one tells you before it runs:
- "Check for Updates" downloads public country, visa, and airport reference data.
- "Refresh Rates" downloads public exchange-rate data.
- "Official Sources" links open public government pages in your browser.
These are download-only. They fetch public information and send nothing about you — not your trips, not your documents, not an identifier.
Separately, "Share" and "Export" hand a file to iOS's standard share sheet so YOU can send it wherever you choose. The app does not transmit it; you do, and you pick the destination.
That is the complete list. There is no feature in DocTrack that uploads your personal data anywhere, to us or to anyone else.
Optional GPS trip auto-detection works out the country on your device from a map bundled with the App; no coordinate is sent anywhere. "Import from Photos" does the same, and only for a photo location that map cannot place (typically at sea) asks Apple's geocoding service, under Apple's privacy terms. Nothing is sent to us. Both are off or idle by default.
4. Diagnostic Reports
DocTrack includes an optional diagnostic report. Reports are NEVER sent automatically — they are only sent if you open the diagnostic screen, tap Send, and then send the email yourself from your own mail app.
The report is assembled from counts, versions, settings and codes for any data problems. It is built this way deliberately: the code that produces those sections is never given your name, a document number or a destination. The app's log for the session is attached with your names, countries, dates, document titles and numbers removed. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of what a report contains.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
DocTrack is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties.
We are not responsible for:
- Data loss for any reason
- Miscalculations of travel days, Schengen counts, or tax residency thresholds
- Incorrect or outdated visa requirements or country data
- Decisions made based on information displayed in the App
- Any immigration, legal, financial, or compliance consequences
Always verify information with official government sources and consult qualified professionals before making travel or immigration decisions.
6. No Professional Advice
Nothing in DocTrack constitutes legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice. The App provides informational tools only. Always seek advice from qualified professionals.
7. Third-Party Data
Visa and entry requirement data is sourced from publicly available information and updated periodically. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Rules change without notice. Always confirm requirements with the relevant embassy or official government website before travel.
8. Subscriptions
DocTrack is free to download. Some features require a paid subscription, sold and processed entirely by Apple as an in-app purchase — we never see or handle your payment details.
What you get: DocTrack Pro unlocks the travel-compliance features — the residency tracker, Schengen and per-country stay limits, the trip planner, tax-residency counters, analytics, expenses and full travel history. DocTrack Business adds team and employee document management.
Length of term: subscriptions are offered monthly or yearly. Whichever you choose renews automatically at the end of each period and continues until you cancel.
What you are charged: the exact price for your region, and any free-trial length, are shown in the App before you confirm — nothing is charged until you do. Apple then bills the same amount each period until cancellation.
How to cancel: open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel DocTrack there. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the current period ends. Cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before a period ends to avoid the next charge.
Payment, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are all handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service, not by us. Refund requests go to Apple.
9. Apple's Standard Terms
Where these Terms are silent, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its contents. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, or under Apple's own App Store terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available within the App. Continued use after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
